Take a Trip to London, circa 1977 in How to Talk to Girls at Parties #book2movie #basedonabook

Alex Sharp and Elle Fanning in How to Talk To Girls at Parties

We may have cocked this planet up royally but at least we’re alive. We like to eat. We like to dance. We like to fall in love. Can we try and fix what our parents screwed up? Are you lot with me?’’

Whatever the music, the fashion, thank God for the enthusiastic idealism of the young. They will always be the future.

It’s London, 1977. The Punk scene is raging. That’s the backdrop to the screen adaptation of Neil Gaiman’s short story How to Talk to Girls at Parties. Judging from the trailer, if you’re keen to visit London, especially going back in time while simultaneously encountering the future in the form of aliens from another planet, this funny little film should do it.

How to Talk to Girls at Parties is one of six adaptations coming to the screen this month. Starring Elle Fanning, Nicole Kidman, Ruth Wilson and Alex Sharp, the movie makes its debut in theaters on May 18th.
