First Trailer for The Handmaid's Tale starring Elizabeth Moss


Frightening. Who else is reading (or re-reading) The Handmaid’s Tale before its release on HULU this April?

For me it’s the first time—not something I get to say that often at my age—and of course, I’m wondering what took me so long!

The HULU series based on Margaret Atwood’s acclaimed 1985 dystopian novel stars Elizabeth Moss as Offred, one of the handmaids, women stripped of their personal rights and whose only function is to serve as baby makers. 

 Science fiction? As many in the Republican party stand ready to defund Planned Parenthood and block abortion in as many states throughout the land as they can, the future, frightening and restrictive, may be closer than we like to think.
