First Look at 'Miss Peregrine’s Home for Peculiar Children’ directed by Tim Burton

“She’s like a scary Mary Poppins, and she can turn into a bird Thats director Tim Burtons take on the titular character in Miss Peregrines Home for Peculiar Children. He went on to tell EW “Weird kids: It’s something that I’ve dealt with and been interested in for a while,” Burton said. “It’s a weird family.”
That weird bunch is Eva Green as Peregrine with Asa Butterfield as the main weird kid. The film, based on the book by Ransom Riggs, was written by Jane Goldman who scripted Kick-Ass and more recently Kingsman:The Secret Service. This seems like a complete change of pace! The movie, with a cast that includes Judi Dench, Ella Purnell, Chris O'Dowd, Allison Janney, Terence Stamp, Kim Dickens, Rupert Everett and Samuel L. Jackson, doesn’t come out until September 30th. Plenty of time for the kids to have a look at the book. I have hunch they’ll find it creepy-good!
