Pink sings Jefferson Airplane classic “White Rabbit” for “Alice through the Looking Glass"

I guess I should have watched the Grammys. Then I would have seen the extended trailer for Alice Through the Looking Glass starring Johnny Depp, Anne Hathaway, Mia Wasikowska, and Rhys Ifans, with Helena Bonham Carter and Sacha Baron Cohen.
I also would have seen this featurette where Pink talks about doing a cover of Jefferson Airplane’s “White Rabbit”—which, let’s face it, is fun that the film is using—and an original song. I’ll leave it to you music types to discuss whether she brings anything new to the song, and the pluses & minuses of a new recording vs going back to the classic.

Directed not by Tim Burton but James Bobin (The Muppets Movie), and scripted by Linda Woolverton, the Disney favorite who wrote The Lion King, the first Alice, Malificent and the upcoming Beauty & the BeastAlice through the Looking Glass comes out May 27th. Anyone planning on dropping a tab of acid before they see this one in the theaters? Or are you leery of any movie that proclaims “It’s time for a little madness.”
