DIVERGENT: The first "OFFICIAL" trailer" Four Plus Tris = Chemistry

As long as we're talking big movie franchises - did you catch the new Catching Fire trailer I posted earlier today? - it's no secret that Summit Entertainment is hoping that Veronica Roth's Divergent explodes when it hits theaters next March.  I shared the teaser trailer when it was released back on August 26th.  Now here's the real deal, the just-released first "Official" full length trailer. Ta Da!

I don't know about you but I'm liking the chemistry between Four (Theo James) and Tris Prior (Shailene Woodley) - did you catch the almost imperceptible flicker of her eyelid, almost like a shiver when she looks at him? The age difference is a bit edgy considering Tris is supposed to be sixteen; not sure how old Four is supposed to be but hunky Theo James turns 29 this December 16th.  He's even more seductive here than in his turn on Downton Abbey

Apparently some YA fans are freaked out that Ansel Elgort, who plays Tris' brother, Caleb Prior, in Divergent, is also Gus to Woodley's Hazel Grace in The Fault in our Stars. "Ew, incest!" some silly fans have said. We have to remember that the actors taking on the roles of our favorite book characters are just that, actors. They aren't really the physical manifestations of those characters, they don't lead those lives. Woodley isn't 16 year old Hazel Grace Lancaster dying of cancer in The Fault in Our Stars or the 16 year old Beatrice 'Tris' Prior braving a dystopian world. She's a 21 year old actor playing a part, as is Elgort. By the way, Miles Teller who was Sutter to Woodley's Aimee in The Spectacular Now - is also in the film as Peter. Some fans have speculated that Peter, born into Candor but possibly truly a Dauntless, may be harboring secret feelings for Tris.  What do you think? Can you wrap your head around the 'incestuous' way Hollywood sometimes works?
