What would Homer say if he knew that Warner Brothers was going to set their planned adaptation of The Odyssey in space? Yes, in space.
The studio has just hired James DiLapo - a recent NYU grad and rising star - to write the script re-imagining the classic (in the truest sense of the word) tale of Odysseus' fight to return home from the wars as a futuristic epic. Back when Brad Pitt starred as Achilles in TROY, (which was really Homer's The Illiad) he was attached to this project too but that's in the past. A shame really. I wouldn't mind seeing Brad Pitt sans toga!
