Robert Redford directs and stars in The Company You Keep

Published back in 2003, Neil Gordon's The Company You Keep, is described as "the story of a former Weather Underground member who’s been on the FBI’s wanted list for the last 30 years. When a determined young reporter uncovers the truth about his past, he’s forced to go on the run. Gordon mixes political turmoil and family drama to deliver a plot that is as intricate as it is compelling."
The film version, scripted by Lem Dobson, stars Robert Redford as the former radical. What's really exciting is that the project marks Redford's return to the director's chair for the first time since 2007. Also exciting? The cast he brought in.

Currently in post production with an as yet to be announced release date, the film also stars Shia LaBeof as the reporter. Anna Kendrick plays LaBeof's former girlfriend. She's an FBI agent and has access to information LaBeof uses to out Redford's character. Jackie Evancho, the 11 year old America's Got Talent finalist, plays Redford's daughter and his raison d'etre for running. The cast also includes Julie Christie, Susan Sarandon, Nick Nolte, Brit Marling, Stanley Tucci, Richard Jenkins, Terrence Howard, Brenda Gleeson and Sam Elliott. Apparently Sam Elliott and Julie Christie play former lovers and cohorts in a marijuana biz!
Will keep you posted when I hear of a release date!
