Crazy Cryogenics movie based on "We Froze the First Man"

Have you ever heard of the memoir "We Froze the First Man"?  Apparently it's the story of Bob Nelson, a tv repairman who decided to try to freeze people in the 60's. Apparently he found it more difficult than he expected. Huh? And apparently, Paul Rudd is going to play him in a movie version inspired by the memoir as well as an episode of This American Life. Ah, it's a comedy! Has to be when you consider it's Paul Rudd, Owen Wilson, wacky Christopher Walken and possibly, hopefully Kristen Wiig - the biggest reason I watch SNL these days! Nothings inked yet, except for Paul Rudd but it sounds like a whole lot of fun!
The movie is Freezing People Is Easy, the script is by Zach Helm (Stranger Than Fiction) and Academy Award-winning filmmaker Errol Morris will direct. Film Rites’ Steve Zaillian and Garrett Basch are producing with This American Life‘s Ira Glass and Alissa Shipp.                                                                                         Mike Fleming has the lowdown. "The cast is pretty much locked — Rudd has been attached for months to play Nelson — though Bridesmaids star Wiig is the variable: she’s completing her run on Saturday Night Live and poring over several offers. The producers and the film’s reps at WME and UTA are starting to talk up the film with financiers. The intention is to shoot for a mid-2012 start date. Wilson, Wiig and Zaillian are up for Golden Globes this year. WME reps Morris and Film Rites; UTA reps Rudd, Wilson, Wiig and This American Life; and ICM reps Walken. "
