Dreaming of France: Blade Runner 2049/ Le Bande Annonce (the French trailer) #book2movies

It’s been awhile since I shared a trailer dubbed into French for Dreaming of France but I ran across the teaser and the full length Bande Annonce for Blade Runner 2049 starring Monsieur Ryan Gosling, Harrison Ford, Jared Leto et Ana de Armas. Je suis désolé il n'y a pas de sous-titres. (How’d I do? I looked it up on google.)

Voila!

It’s fitting to post it in French since the realisateur is French Canadian —Yes, I know French Canada is NOT France, but a little lenience, s'il vous plait—Denis Villeneuve, the director of Premier Contact better known here in the US as Arrival, a really brilliant movie. Despite my love of Arrival, sci fi is not normally my thing, and I barely remember the first Blade Runner—if I even saw it back in ’82—but I’m making an exception this time around since it is Monsieur Ryan Gosling.

The first Blade Runner was based on Philip K. Dick’s Do Androids Dream of Electric Sheep?

Les Androides Revent-ils de Moutons Electriques?

This sequel takes the characters along with some new ones and strides out on its own. Nobody knows quite where but presumably we’ll all find out when the movie debuts here and most of the world on October 6th. France (and Belgium) get a head start, the movie is set to open on October 4th, then there are a slew of countries where it opens on the 5th.*

Anybody else looking forward to this one? In English or French?

Here’s the most recent trailer in English.
