Certain Women starring Kristen Stewart, Michelle Williams and Laura Dern to open October 14th.

The last time I posted about Certain Women was to share William Hurt's reading of Travis, B. the Maile Meloy story that forms the basis of Kristen Stewart's portion of the film.
While there's still no trailer, no poster, there are at least, some images and at last, a release date.

Certain Women starring Stewart, Michelle Williams, Laura Dern, Lily Gladstone, Jared Harris and James LeGros is set for release on October 14th. It's directed by Kelly Reichardt and the overall sense I get is that it's slow but compelling. Or perhaps that should be slow AND compelling.

"Certain Women" drops us into a handful of intersecting lives across Montana. A lawyer (Laura Dern) tries to diffuse a hostage situation and calm her disgruntled client (Jared Harris), who feels slighted by a workers' compensation settlement. A married couple (Michelle Williams and James Le Gros) breaks ground on a new home but exposes marital fissures when they try to persuade an elderly man to sell his stockpile of sandstone. A ranch hand (Lily Gladstone) forms an attachment to a young lawyer (Kristen Stewart), who inadvertently finds herself teaching a twice-weekly adult education class, four hours from her home.

I'll slot Certain Women in its proper release date in 2016's
