Big week for movies based on books coming up. This Friday, October 4th, Gone Girl hits theaters. I've been avoiding the reviews but it's hard not to hear some of the buzz; it sounds brilliant and I can't wait for the weekend. 

Also on October 4th, Inherent Vice, the Paul Thomas Anderson movie based on Thomas Pynchon's 'part noir, part psychedelic romp' is set to debut at the New York Film Festival. Fans have been waiting for a trailer which is currently as elusive as the acclaimed author. And I found one! 

Sort of. For today's Slacker Sunday video I've got the Inherent Vice book trailer, narrated by Thomas Pynchon himself. The acclaimed author is rumored to have a cameo in the film but he's so camera shy we probably wouldn't recognize him anyway. I certainly wouldn't anyhow.
