Is Daniel Radcliffe the face of the devil in 'Horns'?

Sometimes projects just zoom invisibly under my radar, they can come and go and somehow I remain blissfully ignorant. That's the case with Horns, an upcoming horror film based on the Joe Hill novel of the same name and starring Daniel Radcliffe as Perrish, a young man who wakes up after a helluva night with a horrible hangover. And horns sprouting from his forehead.

Those horns give Perrish a dark power, enabling him to force others to reveal their deepest, darkest secrets. The problem is Perrish has some secrets of his own - he's been accused of murdering and raping his girlfriend and has to stay out of sight while trying to find the real killer.

Radcliffe said the role, which he describes as "deeply emotional and incredibly outrageous", is "a very, very different type of part than anything I've done before".

Juno Temple (Malificent, Far from the Madding Crowd) co-stars as Perrish's late girlfriend Merrin Williams. The cast includes Heather Graham, David Morse, Max Minghella and Kathleen Quinlan.

While the film premiered last September at the Toronto International Film Festival, we are now getting the teaser trailer and poster (above). The movie will be released in the UK on October 31, Halloween. Ya know, cuz it's scary. Also scary, no US release date. We'll let you know when - and if? - we get one.

Variety's Peter DeBruge called it 'darkly comedic, borderline-corny'. Read the review here.
