If I Stay: I've just added Gayle Forman's novel to this year's Guide to Movies based on Books

I've just added If I Stay to this year's Book to Movies guide; it's just been announced that the film starring Chloe Grace Moretz, Jamie Blackley and Mirielle Enos (World War Z, The Killing) will come out on August 22.  I first posted news of the adaptation of Gayle Forman's ya thriller last summer when we learned that Moretz and Enos had been cast as Mia and her rocker mother, Kat, respectively.

Mia (Chloe Grace Moretz) and Adam (Jamie Blackley) head for a Halloween party in If I Stay

Then we got this first image from the set, Enos and Joshua Leonard (Mia's father) in full-on musician mode.

What's it about? I haven't got to this one yet; I snatched this from Amazon -
"In the blink of an eye everything changes. Seventeen year-old Mia has no memory of the accident; she can only recall what happened afterwards, watching her own damaged body being taken from the wreck. Little by little she struggles to put together the pieces- to figure out what she has lost, what she has left, and the very difficult choice she must make. Heartwrenchingly beautiful, this will change the way you look at life, love, and family. Mia's story will stay with you for a long, long time.
What do you think? Does musical Mia's story strike a chord with you?
