John Green's Video "Perspective"

A few days ago, John Green, acclaimed author of the mega-selling The Fault in Our Stars - not to mention Looking for Alaska, An Abundance of Katherines, and Will Grayson, Will Grayson -  posted this video on depression and perspective to youtube. It's so honest and so important that I wanted to share it with you. (Below)

I'm constantly surprised at how many people have suffered - and continue to suffer, untreated - from depression. It's hard to look at Green today when he seems completely comfortable and at home in his current very public role of literary man of the hour and think that he could ever be anything but the happy, successful author of a wildly popular book currently headed to the big screen where it is almost predestined to be wildly successful too. And all this under the watchful and adoring eyes of the YA twitterverse with John Green aboard tweeting behind the set sneak peaks and interviews with cast and crew members. There are multitudes of twitter accounts and blogs dedicated to the book and or the movie; I even have a page dedicated to the movie based on The Fault in Our Stars book. Surely this man has never had a worry in the world?    Take a look.
