Suits in the City

I don't know what this says about me but I love living in a city that plasters ads on the sides of its buildings. I have NEVER seen this show - you can't escape the commercials for it - and have no intention of doing so but I actually get a kick out of seeing a couple of guys in suits strutting larger than life above the streets of the city. This is above Wilshire Blvd in Westwood Village.

I'm posting this as part of Alyce's  AtHomewithBooks.net  SATURDAY SNAPSHOT.  To play along, post a photo that you (or a friend or family member) have taken then leave a direct link to your post on her Mister Linky .

  1. I wonder what city this is. Something in California?

    1. Yes, it's L.A. :)
Sorry I haven't stopped by yet but I will. Today was so busy I barely had time to post a picture!

  2. I enjoy some ads...others just get annoying. But ones from movies or shows I know are always fun.

    1. I know what you mean! One of the ad "spokesman" I love is the Geiko ghekko. On the other hand as much as I like him, I can't stand the Jimmy Fallon 'money' ads that feature the baby.

  3. I've lived in a small town for so many years now that I am a little bit surprised when I see the big plastered ads in the city.

    1. Having lived in the suburbs for the past 7 years, I'm a bit surprised too. I'm also surprised that I liked it but my pleasure in all things citified may wear off.

  5. Being from the rural backwater in New Hampshire, this would bother me ... I'm not a fan of all the light and glitter and visual barrage that comes with city living ... it's a novel experience when I visit NYC. I'm always glad to get home to the stars and the crickets and the quiet ... I do gawk though when I am in the city ... the billboards are just so darn BIG!

    1. I can certainly respect that point of view. I love big cities and I love beach towns. I'm not a fan of the country as a steady diet. Just a little too quiet for me.

  6. I can understand that you like the ads, but I'd more enjoy some interesting artwork I think.
