Extremely Loud & Incredibly Close: Oskar Schell's Visit to the Empire State Building

Oh the irony! In the book Extremely Loud and Incredibly Close Oskar's search for the lock that matches the key takes him to the Empire State Building. He and Mr. Black take Ruth Black's tour where she gives lots of fascinating info about the building. For instance did you know that a World War II bomber crashed into the 79th floor in 1945? But this is the ironic passage that I'm assuming doesn't make it into the movie.

"Each year over 3.5 million people are whisked to the eight-sixth floor to be where Cary Grant waited in vain for Deborah Kerr in An Affair to Remember, where Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan had their fateful meeting in the movie, Sleepless in Seattle. Also, the observatory is handicap accessible." Wouldn't it be wild if they left that in? Considering Tom Hanks is in the movie, playing Oskar's dad, it could be something of a hoot in this otherwise teary drama!
